sits on the Trotternish ridge in the north of the Isle of Skye. It's a landscape still on the move: a huge landslip that has been slowly sliding for thousands of years, leaving behind cliffs, pinnacles and hidden plateaus. The road between Staffin and Uig climbs right through it, and from the top you look out over lochs, ridges and, on a clear day, the mountains of the Scottish mainland.
In black and white, the layers of the landscape come forward: dark cloud, sunlit grass, rock and water. The wide format suits a long wall above a sofa, a meeting room or a hotel lobby, and works best from 60×90 cm upwards, where the road and lochs keep their detail.
