This tiger portrait belongs to Wild Souls, a black and white fine art series built entirely with AI. Each image is part of an ongoing test of newer generative techniques, aimed at the same crushed blacks and hard-edged chiaroscuro you'd get from a real camera and a single hard light source — not the softer, glossier look most AI art defaults to.
The series exists because a safari isn't always possible. Between trips, Wild Souls lets me keep making the kind of animal portraits I'd otherwise only get in the field — close, direct, one eye doing most of the talking.
